Top 3 Things To Do Along Regents Canal

IMG_7514.jpg

One of the best things about our amazing location, is being walking distance to the beautiful Regent’s Canal. A 8.6 mile long waterway carving across North London, offering a beautiful path along from Paddington to Limehouse Basin. Historical too, dating all the way back to 1820.

Today, the canal is as a quiet oasis for bikers, boaters, and strollers taking in highlights that range from a floating bookstore to the London Zoo.

Here are our top 3 things to do along Regent’s Canal;

1. Cruise Aboard a Traditional Narrowboat

Get around London a little differently…Ride the back waters of the Regent’s Canal on a traditional narrowboat between Little Venice and Camden. The London Waterbus runs a regular service throughout the year and the 50-minute journey sails past elegant waterfront mansions and through the Maida Hill tunnel. Take it even further, buy a London Zoo ticket that includes a boat ride into the zoo itself!

2. Take a Tour by row boat

The perfect romantic experience, or perfect for friends, and enjoy London from a different perspective. Glide along the water in a row boat!

3. Shop for Books in a Converted Barge

An old and restored 1920s Dutch barge has been transformed to become ‘Word on the Water’ London’s one and only floating bookshop. It’s filled high with quirky, affordable books and even hosts live music and poetry events up on the roof!

Book to stay at Prime Backpackers Angel and experience Regent’s Canal this October!
